Aspen’s Birthday Bash- Price of Power Spotlight

IMG_2987

Welcome to day two of Aspen TIller’s birthday bash! If you don’t know what I’m talking about, here’s the beginning:

and here’s the first post, where we learn more about Aspen and the rest of our cast!

As a reader, I hate it when an author carries on a series too long just to make more money. Some stories can be told in one book. Leave it there.

The Aspen Series is not one of these cases. Noble Courage is a complete story in itself, but Aspen’s story is far from over. Noble Courage ends with all the loose ends tied up, but also the acknowledgement that these people’s lives will continue on, and they still have enemies looking for revenge.

Price of Power opens up with the promise of new characters that we’ll come to love, who will help and hinder our heroes in their journies.

Thorne and Aspen have new responsibilities as Grand Duke and Duchess of Elgolan. They’ll learn that nobility isn’t all parties and fancy clothes, and that their new stations come with difficult decisions, and facing the consequences of past and current choices.

I loved seeing Aspen grow as a person and a mother, and watching all those she considers her family deal with everything this fantastical world throws at them.
