These are my skinny jeans, my hipster pants.

They look so good because they love me as much as I love them.

I put them on and they hug me all day,

drawing people’s eyes to my legs,

and occasionally my rear.

Painter’s Tape Blue

Pirate Maroon

Purple and Black Houndstooth Pattern

Black and White Cowslip

Grey and Black Splatter.

I have many pairs, and I love them equally.

I just apologize for being so shy about this love

that I usually delegate them to laundry week.

But not today.

Today I’m in Portland,

and my pants are quiet compared to the loudness of the city,

which is hugging me also.
